Who You Calling A Girl

Durden Art

Regular price $25.00

There is trouble in the neighborhood. When mouths start running and the insults start flying it’s time to gather the troops and defend your turf. This big sister runs the streets and makes you wonder why you ever thought a man was in charge. This wonder of a woman holds her own in a male- dominant hero world. “Watch out boys!”

The character positioning was inspired by Norman Rockwell’s “A Hero’s Welcome” illustrating the envy and admiration we have for our big sisters and brothers. Troops coming home from duty have made the ultimate sacrifice. We all look up to the valor and courage it takes to defend what we think is right. Similarly, these are characteristics we see in our older siblings as they tackle the hurdles of our futures. A few short years can make our older siblings seem like Gods. We want to dress like them, walk like them, and conquer our fears beside them. Every choice they make inspires us to live up to their accomplishments. They are our roll models and protect us from battles bigger than our britches.
